Sayısal Koleksiyon

 

İTÜ Kütüphaneleri-Sayısal Koleksiyon'u aşağıdaki koleksiyonlardan oluşmaktadır: 

İTÜ Nadir Eser Koleksiyonu: Mühendishane Matbaası ve Mühendis Mektebi Kütüphanesi mirasını devralan İTÜ Nadir Eserler Koleksiyonu, Osmanlı ve erken Cumhuriyet dönemi bilim ve teknoloji çalışmaları için önemli kaynak teşkil eder. 18, 19 ve erken 20. Yüzyıla ait yaklaşık 6000 kitap ve süreli yayını barındıran bu koleksiyon, Osmanlı mühendislik ve mimarlık eğitimi hakkında bilgi vermekte ve aynı zamanda Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nda üretilen tarih, edebiyat, sosyoloji ve sanat metinlerini de gözler önüne sermektedir.



Harita ve Coğrafi Materyaller Koleksiyonu: Bu koleksiyonun çoğunluğunu İTÜ öğretim üyesi Prof. Dr. Celal Şengör bağışı olan jeoloji konulu yaklaşık 5000 harita oluşturmaktadır. Haritaların dilleri Türkçe, Çince, Rusça ve İngilizce' dir. Koleksiyonunun kalan kısmını kütüphanenin satın almış olduğu coğrafi materyaller oluşturmaktadır.

Prof. Dr. Kâzım Çeçen Slayt Arşivi: 5855 slayt ve 700 negatif filmin taranmasıyla oluşturulan bu arşiv, ağırlıklı olarak 1970’lerin son yıllarından başlayarak 1990’lı yılların ortalarına dek süren Osmanlı ve Roma dönemleri su yapıları ve isale hatları araştırmaları sırasında çekilen slayt ve negatifleri kapsamaktadır. Suyolları dışında Bilim ve Teknoloji Tarihi Araştırma Merkezi’nde bulunan İTÜ tarihi ile ilgili nesneler, teknoloji tarihi ile ilgili el yazmalarının ve bazı suyolları haritalarının reprodüksiyonları, yurtiçi ve yurtdışında yapılmış gezilerde çekilmiş slaytlar da bulunmaktadır.

Nadir Bayındırlık ve İmar Projeleri: Koleksiyon,  İTÜ Nadir Eserler Koleksiyonu’nda bulunan son dönem Osmanlı İmparatorluğu ve genç dönem Türkiye Cumhuriyeti nafia (bayındırlık) ve imar projelerine (demiryolu, tramvay, liman, yol, elektrik ve su şebekesi, köprü, viyadük, toplu konut, park vb.) ilişkin proje dokümanları, plan, harita, kesitlerden ve  alt yapı / üst yapı proje çizimlerinden oluşmaktadır.

Koleksiyonun sayısallaştırılmasında İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Koordinasyon Birimi (BAP)'nden proje desteği alınmıştır.

 

Digital Collections

Istanbul Technical University Libraries Digital Collections comprise of below collections :

ITU Rare Books Collection : Inheriting the heritage of Mühendishane (Imperial School of Engineering) Printing Press and the Library of Mühendis Mektebi (Ottoman School of Engineering), ITU Rare Books Collection comprises a primary resource for the study of history of science and technology in the Ottoman Empire and early Repuplican period of Turkey. Made up largely of 18th, 19th and early 20th century rare books and periodicals, this collection of approximately 6000 items, not only provides insight on the engineering and architecture education in the Ottoman Empire but also presents accounts of history, art, literature and sociology, cretaed in the Ottoman Empire.

Collection of Maps and Geographical Materials : The bulk of the collection comprises approximately 5000 maps on geology, which were donated by Prof. Dr. Celal Şengör. The maps are in the languages of Turkish, Chineese, Russian and English. The rest the collection comprises the geographical materials, which were bought by ITU Libraries.

Prof. Dr. Kazım Çeçen Slide Archive: This archive, which was created by scanning 5855 slides and 700 negative films, mainly includes slides and negatives taken during the Ottoman and Roman periods of water structures and water pipelines researches starting from the last years of the 1970s to the mid-1990s. In addition to waterways, there are objects related to the history of ITU in the Science and Technology History Research Center, reproductions of manuscripts on the history of technology and some waterways maps, and slides taken in domestic and abroad trips.

Rare Public Works Projects and their documents: Project documents related to the public works and zoning projects of the last period of the Ottoman Empire and early period of Republic of Turkey based on construction of railways, trams, ports, roads, electricity and water networks, bridges, viaducts, mass housing, etc. that documents consisting of plans, maps, sections, concession agreements.

      İTÜ Sayısal Koleksiyon için tarayıcı olarak, Google Chrome önerilir. Google Chrome tarayıcı için Chrome PDF Viewer pluginlerden etkinleştirilmelidir. (chrome://plugins/ adresine gidilerek pluginler görülebilir.)
